Right, we embrace ghosts, gods, and aliens, to make explain the unknown and not feel so alone, so I understand why you may cling to this belief. But I guarantee you, 1,000%, those aliens aren’t no where near us.

Yeah, that’s the Great Filter hypothesis. I think I’d be more afraid for humanity if we discover artifacts of a great civilization that vanished. If it happened to them, at least once... or if we find another civilization that is gone too, it would mean we’re more than likely to be wiped out as well.
