Did the plastic headband break on you or did you have any other issues with the Gold? I have two pairs of the Gold and one pair had the band break by the speaker as everyone else. I did duct tape it and it’s been good to go, though. The second pair is the white set and doesn’t get much use but it’s fine for the moment.

Yes, tying a headset to a console is aggravating, as well. It’s one of the things I hate about the Xbox at the moment. Microsoft is still trying to control the aftermarket for its console.

Agreed, it would be nice to have options. But the Sony Platinum headset does have a 3D sound option and I really like the headset.
