I wear pinup style dresses and look very good in them, but most of them are midi length and it is bullshit. I look short and weird, so I have to take them to a seamstress and make them shorter. Lately I’ve come to accept that I need to spend extra money to make my stuff fit well - costs a bit more but at least I don’t

It’s killing me. I’m 5'5 with a very hourglass shape and 34F chest. If tops/dresses don’t have any structure, they just hang off my boobs and make me look huge. Not to mention this stupid “midi-length” trend with dresses, where they fall just below the knees. On me these dresses hit mid-calf and make me look even

that’s because they didn’t use interfacing (I think that’s what it’s called—I might be wrong). It’s stiffer and gives structure to collars, plackets, etc. It saves maybe a couple pennies to go without.

I have two pairs of dress pants that I bought in 2005 from Express and I’m still wearing them! Pants, man.

Sad! I feel like it is so hard for me to find dress pants that don't look super weird on me — these are the only decent ones I have found so far... Clearly dress pants are just tricky bitches. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Taken behind the barn ... and forced to wear a romper.

And the materials, I see a “silk” blouse on the website, and lo and behold when I look at the materials its all polyester. Lay off the god damned polyester and use real material. Seriously, how about making tops that aren’t see through polyester.

You know, I bought a romper for a vacation, and enjoy it immensely, but that’s not what I want from BR. I want fucking v-neck sweaters and a-line skirts and they are not bringing any of that right now.

Boo! I actually bought some of those and had to return them because the fit is weird on me. Why is it so hard to find straight leg pants?

Whoever is trying to make the romper happen needs to be taken behind the barn.

All I want is to be able to pick up a bunch of black straight leg Sloan pants when they have 40% off sales every few months. Give me that and I am happy. Enough with these flouncy skirts that barely hit mid-thigh and drapey nonsensical sweaters.

I still have a half dozen completely indestructible long sleeve crewneck t’s that I bought in college 20 years ago...not even any color fading! a jcrew tee that I bought last year lost a sleeve hem in the dryer about 3 months in and half of the waist hem a couple of weeks later. And at the year mark, there are holes
