That was the deal breaker for me sadly, I don't understand how people can read books on something that is backlit. It is not even close to being ideal - digital does not equal better. Not any sort of "basher/hater," I just don't want to read on something that will speed up my CVS!

What are you talking about? I'm an iPad owner and you sound dumb... Cheers!

Thats kinda the point, the entire world looks at some sort of glowing screen all day (most on horrible TF panels), at least the Fire has an IPS panel... but it's still not E-Ink.

Ha, nice!

Its really not, its the shadow that makes it look double the thickness. Look around the 00:07 mark and you can see the shadow falloff at the bottom left corner of the device. Cheers

If there isn't a "retina" display on one side and E-Ink on the other... not interested. You can't claim to be an eReader and have a backlit screen - if I wanted to murder my eyes I would read books on my iPad (or worse, my iPhone).

valid question... and it's fun to read!

If I could issue stars (and you didn't already have one), you sir would be a proud new owner of a shiny yellow star!

someone star this guy!

Very smart. Microsoft seems to be stepping out of their comfort zone. Once these new ideas/concepts/betas are actual products (Windoze 8/Meteo/Interchangable Mobile Modalities), I might abandon the Apple sandbox and conform with the rest of the masses... but in a good way.

I work in the same building as the Symantec people... I swear I have never seen so many people take cigarette breaks and the frequency is amazing. That is some sweet upper management

HAHA, nice!

HAHA, nice! I had to do a double take!

I appreciate everyones feedback! When my contract is up, then I will make my decision. But honestly, if the iPhone 5 is nothing more than updated software and better front/back cameras, I'm pretty sure that I will be switching. Of course, android screens are getting so big and I don't need more bulk in my pocket -

Thanks for everyones feedback, very educational. My biggest concern is "test driving" an android that has been "customized" (don't know the word for JB on androids... rooting, possibly?) is not an option. All my friends come to me for their tech needs (not bragging, this is a complaint! Search Google my dumb ass

It still amazes me what some people consider "art." I was recently at MoMA and some "artist" doodled over a bunch of cocktail napkins he saved over the years, taped them to the wall and *poof* behold his "art." Another dumped garbage over the floor and roped it off... alas, art! I need to do something "artsy" so I can

I'm so tempted to join the Android army when my iPhone 4 contract is up... but I'm afraid of losing all my jailbreak features (and my Audible badges, seriously!). Decisions, decisions. Being an adult and making educated decisions is for poopy heads!

"Death is the only adventure I have left, Smee."

I must be missing something... where is this fire you spoke of?
