either abolish all sports or ban parents from attending games in any capacity

Not since Jesus has someone from Nazareth been caught so red-handed.  Dude is totally guilty of crucifixing the game.

The 2 teams’ mascots are the Roadrunners (Nazareth) and the Wolverines (Simeon).

“like a piece of shit stuck on a Bison’s Ass”

This is why I don’t comment online

I was taught that he “retired to the Presidency after the Civil War,” spent most of his time with a drink in his hand and trying to live through his PTSD from seeing thousands of young soldiers die after taking his orders. He was hands-off and the people around him took constant advantage of his inattention.

Yes, and Grant wrote his own autobiography mostly because he was flat broke and bored. It was a big success but I think he died pre-publication. At least his widow got quite a bit of money to live off of.

Cowards gonna cower.

Rick Wilson called it. Everything Trump Touches Dies.

So yes, sucks that they back down on having a comedian.

In Chernow’s telling, Grant was less directly corrupt, than a naive waif surrounded by corrupt people. Basically he was a great general, but a terrible judge or character in civilian life. He got swindled over and over and over again, even before the Civil War.

Ron Chernow is expected to pen President Trump’s biography, which will likely be a 1,200 page book with a hole cut out and a festering piece of disease-laden dog shit inside. There is already early criticism of the biography, saying that such treatment is highly complementary of the infectious human waste that is

It would be awesome if he got up there and, just by telling the truth, made the administration even more uncomfortable than a comedian would have.

I did sort of like seeing the piss taken out of them, though. Apparently they got tired of it however, so now we’ll just have to watch John Oliver/Stephen Colbert/etc for that part, and skip the parts where the news media self-congratulates themselves for sucking up to power.

I’d like to see this dinner be more of a somber affair (or at least more serious) with credit being given to those journalists who have died and who have really gone above and beyond to expose injustices in our system. I am not a fan of the way it was with Obama or the way it is run now. The press and the WH should

I mean, you’re not wrong, but the WHCA is doing this because they are cowards.

Perhaps it’s more accurate to say “the one thing that made anyone care at all about the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.”

Well it should be as valuable as any other trade association dinner, that is totally insular and boring to everyone not in the trade association.

The White House Correspondents’ Dinner, now without the one thing that gave any value to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

Aren’t we tired of this vapid camaraderie between Washington’s elite, the journalists covering them, and vaguely politically minded celebrities who are just happy to be there anyway?
