Recent arrivals leaving state after recession of 1987-8 reduced the population of those drawn to the state seeking easy-money and tax-free benefits. Exxon Valdez disaster led to further decreases in that population.

Nobody thinks we’re part of the U.S. anyway. Worked for a long time at a tourist gift shop in the summers and was asked, a shocking non-zero number of times, whether we accepted American dollars.

Fultz’s shoulder could still be a goopy sludge of rancid, minced meat and bone fragments.

Lonzo “chicken wing arm motion” Ball makes more damn 3s than Fultz. Lonzo Ball!

Markelle Fultz Update: Shoulder Still Crab Meat?

Excellent point. Native Alaskans, the Navajo Nation, and the Tohono O’odham Nation now all share Arizona’s statehood.

We need Lisa Murkowski’s pro-choice vote.

Yeah, because that’s what this article is about.

I know it’s a joke, but Alaska has the highest proportion of Native voters by far, so...

“He once held a 10-inch knife to the throat of former Speaker John Boehner for “heckling” him. He also threatened to bitea fellow House Republican for objecting to one of his earmarks. In 2014, his spokesman couldn’t really deny that Young had killed someone. Just last February, he asked the Alaska Municipal League,

Whereas Moffat explored the boundaries of Dr Who, Chibnall seems to deliberately be going to reexplore the core. And finally, doing a decent job of it. The poorly arced story line is my main complaint. But I think the article’s author is being overcritical and maybe even a bit pretentious. What if all of season 11 is

I think Who can be broken down into fairly even thirds - a third of the episodes are great, a third a shite, and a third just exist. Apparently this pattern extends to the classic show and even the audio adventures. This was the archetypal ‘middle third’ episode.

No mention of the male pregnancy plot? Because honestly I enjoyed the hell out of that and thought it was one of the strongest elements of the episode. Fairly funny and provided some good moments for Ryan and Graham.

I liked the eulogy at the end. I don’t recall the Doctor participating much in such things in the past. I am predicting that the spoken words are actually created by one of the current companions when another companion dies in the past relative to the “Tsuranga Conundrum” as a fun little bootstrap paradox.

The Pting has to come back to fight the Daleks when they eventually make an appearance.

I loved the episode precisely because it felt like an old-school episode. I have also loved the look, feel, and general tone of all of the episodes thus far. I absolutely love Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor - the curiosity, drive, fascination, sense of hope, and sly wit.

I think the biggest thing lacking so far this season is a properly compelling baddie for the new Doc to properly have a battle of wits (and verbals) with.

While I’m liking all three companions, I think introducing 3 new companions at once was a mistake. We’re halfway through the season and they really haven’t had the development or screen time of past companions.
