“Bang” was the first one I thought of. I also once did a summer program in sports communication and one of our instructors’ catchphrases for basketball broadcasting was “Down the well.” Needless to say, everyone made fun of him for that.

That is a very smarmy phrase that is very Olbermann.

I just rewatched that. Still remains iconic.

Yeah seriously fuck that “I’m above getting worked up at dumb shit” attitude. People cry about fictional characters. Isn’t that just as dumb?

No, there are people who will get mad at you for criticizing any Democrat ever. Not kidding. Case in point: Look at the reply to my comment.

Exactly! That’s how I was a few years ago. Now, I have to really try to give a shit about my teams, especially because none have been very good.

Is it acceptable if it’s them missing the playoffs, the first time they would’ve gotten to them since you were a very young child. Because after Jets/Bills 2015, man...

This is what I came here for.

Hardly even a take. It’s more like conventional wisdom.

And in that case the consequence was passing Chafeecare, the Rockefeller Republican healthcare plan, which the Republican Congress won’t repeal because they like it.

And there is all the proof Collins, Murkowski and probably Manchin, Heitkmp and Donnely need to roll over. It’s done, folks.

Yeah, American progressives don’t seem to be aware of what a POS Trudeau (as well as Macron) is.

He was my prediction. He’s the one who has had the most favorable stand on Executive privilege and that’s all that Trump cares about. I also hope that if Manchin and Heitkamp roll over again we stop the nonsense about how we should stop criticizing Democrats for fucking up because it “deflates enthusiasm”.

True, but that was written in 2003, when the general public’s awareness of transgender individuals was pretty low. I agree that it’s not a sure thing, but a person who asked everyone to refer to them as the opposite gender AND may have started to undergo a sex change pretty clearly fits into our modern conception of

I almost feel like that’s the problem. Between the CW and the animated movies, DC has already been done in so many ways that it feels like they tried so hard to do things “differently” that they were just a let down.

They should just focus on making good movies first, then hopefully viewers will like the characters and be excited to see them interact. That’s how Marvel did it, DC just needs to learn the same patience.

Manual is incorrect:

I don’t think that’s true. An obituary indicates that he wanted everyone to refer to him as a man and that he may have started to undergo a sex change, which leans towards him being a trans man.

Because again, it was never supposed to be loyal to the actual historical figure, it was supposed to be “Scarlett Johansson lesbian scene” movie.
