Meh. Fuck this dead lady. This shit wasn’t funny in the least to me.

She could’ve fucking apologized instead of waxing poetic about her acting skills.

The kicker is....she never actually got an abortion. (Her lack of ability to attain one was one of the pieces of evidence used in the case....because she couldn’t access abortion, she had the kid and gave her up for adoption.) The evangelicals bribed her to say that she felt regret over being on the “wrong” side,

Me too, but unfortunately the evangelical right used her as a prop to “show” people how abortion is harmful and the only emotion after is regret. I’m sure she influenced those on the fence about it during that time, and that in turn probably helped drum up a lot of support on the ground to chip away at Roe v. Wade on

So she should be even more sympathetic to other women in her situation, not sell them out.

Came here to say - this actually makes her sound worse. “I got mine and I’m healthy, so fuck you. I’d rather have money than you have the same.”
It’s not like she regretted it (very few women do), she was willing to sell out at the expense of millions of other women.
Fuck her.

They got what they paid for, didn’t they? They didn’t need her to believe, just to read the script.

I’d laugh about it if everyone was able to get abortions these days, but they can’t.

‘This is my deathbed confession,’ she chuckles, sitting in a chair in her nursing home room...

So she sounds like a fairly terrible person who would sell out anyone or anything for the right price.

It was shitty for evangelicals to bribe her, but also shitty of her to accept it, considering the consequences.

It’s a shame. They assembled a lot of talented actors who doubtless thought it was going to be a polished piece of entertainment like a Harry Potter movie, and it’s so bad. The dialogue and special effects are weak, but I think the worst part is the drabness. It could have been 30% better if they’d just brightened up

Have your kids made you watch the second one, because it makes the first one look like a masterpiece.

I didn’t care about this take when it was relevant 15 years ago.

My kids watch the first movie in this series from time to time, and Jesus it is full. Not even Rosario Dawson and Alexandra Daddario can keep my attention.

Yes and no. Dro was the married guy whose relationship with his wife was open, and Molly was someone he was seeing as part of that. But Andrew was also at one point not exclusive with Molly, which he told her and she pretended to be okay with. It seems like they’re now an exclusive thing, which, with each episode

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. I’ve never really watched OISTNB, but I’m pretty sure this lady isn’t the main character. And even if she is being paid unfairly, shouldn’t that be in comparison to the other characters on her show? Like of course the Stranger Things kids get paid better. I bet Lucas’ little sister on

Not to mention, they also STAR on the show, lol. Taystee began S1 as one of a dozen 3rdtier supporting roles. As it went on, her and many other supporting actresses got more screen time (and raises).

Isn’t surprising unfortunately. When OITNB started, streaming television was a cheaper niche but by the time ST got going, it was the main form of prestige television.

Okay, but you’re talking about a main-cast member in a series with, like, 30 of those, to a central-main-character in a show with, like, 10 recurring actors.
