The extended runtime did this season absolutely no favors. We spend so much time with basketball guy or other superfluous characters and it drags. The Satanic Panic storyline could have been dropped and we’d lose nothing. The Steve/Nancy thing could have been dropped. Just let them be friends - it’s healthy and normal

From now on David Harbour’s back story for every character is “Russian Prison.” Like if they do another Hellboy, it’ll be Hellboy in Russian prison. If they put him in Star Wars, they’ll find him on Russian prison planet. Buddy cop movie... his partner will be Scott Adkins, they meet in Russian prison. Cowboy movie...

Things I loved: The Nancy and Steve chemistry returning. I actually really enjoyed Jonathan becoming a stoner because his character always bored the heck out of me and was pretty creepy since Season 1, so giving him something to do other than be intense and weird was a nice touch.

I suspected something was up with Henry Creel, since Victor made it a point to say his wife and daughter were horrifically killed, but Henry slipped into a coma and died a few days later.

The B plot stories with Hopper/Joyce/Weird Guy and the California Crew aren’t bad, but they also feel a lot like time-killing until Part 2. The most compelling stuff is by far the stuff happening with characters in Hawkins.

I’m confounded, by this question, but I shouldn’t be. The fact that this racist piece of shit is popular says a lot...

This isn’t the final season. Season 5 has been ordered and is in production now. That will be the final season.

I’m one of those people who fixes the character descriptions from the book in my mind and then is disappointed when the movie casting doesn’t align with the book. But I’m smart enough to realize that’s MY hang-up and then move on and enjoy the films (for the most part, excepting glaring problems).

The youngest screenwriter to win an Oscar was 25, and we have seen two hours’ worth of McDonnell’s material in WandaVision which were pretty good.

Eh, I can think of ones that were worse or more forgettable. Black Widow was basically the Marvel equivalent of a Brosnan Bond movie.

There’s nothing more chaotic than fans arguing over canon. It’s like throwing a raw steak into a pit of starving dogs.

Doctor Strange 2 doing nearly as much domestically in its first weekend as the first movie did in its entire run is why Marvel never panics about “modest” first-movie money takes. They have the patience to let heroes find their audience over time, through home release and crossover adventures.

Now playing

Nah, it’s still correct. You gotta use “No Homers Club” logic.

Bizarre take there. Plenty of crap screen writers who are a lot older with a list of awful credits (Kurtzman, Goldsman, Goyer, Kunberg) and who inexplicably keep getting work. Young writers should be given a chance as well.

Inhumans have yet to truly appear in the MCU in an official capacity, though”

Right now the only “diminishing returns” are in Netflix’s stock price.

Gotta say, it is distressingly surprising how many people want to blame anyone but the single most poker full person on earth, who actively sought this job after decades being one of the most powerful politicians in America, and made promises to get that job that he is now breaking. It is young voters fault for not

They’re the age group most likely to work wage-slave schedules that make something like primary voting difficult, and we are expecting many of them to plan and arrange to participate in primaries that are often their very first voting experiences of their lives. I don’t like spreading this “young people apathy”

Could it also be that the President’s powers are also semi-vague and presidents from Teddy Roosevelt to Trump found ways to get their agenda pushed through and at times deliberately bypassed Congress to do so?

I mean, he’s delivered on nothing. At all. My little sister was out when she saw the gemming and hawing on student loan forgiveness. Especially since the public service loan forgiveness program still denies damn near all applicants who worked at lower paying govt. jobs with the promise of student loan forgiveness.
