I'm not arguing against people discussing the show or reading a critical take on the the episodes. On the contrary, I want people to read a take on the episodes that the find worthwhile. Many commenters find Sonia's take on the show insufficient or inadequate so why not read another reviewer (from a different source)…

I'm not complaining I'm just wondering why people keep reading a reviewer who they don't think brings anything worthwhile to the conversation. Surely, there are other episodic reviews of this show out there on the Internet.

Just because you don't want to go to another website to read a review doesn't make it not a valid option. But alas, if people want to keep submitting themselves to reading content they don't like and then complaining when it doesn't meet their expectations that's their prerogative.

In a way the people who are constantly complaining about the quality of the reviews week after week are the ones shutting down conversation about the show, by making the comments all about the reviewer instead of the episode.

I think he's always assumed that if you are watching the show you are more or less familiar with the canon, which isn't necessarily a fair assumption to make, but there's a statute of limitation on spoilers past a certain point.
