That's how I read that moment when Chilton opens his arms to the sky after being chased by Jack. The look on Jack's face suggested that he recognized this act of pleading as something the Chesapeake Reaper would never do. He wouldn't surrender so easily. It's all in the expression in his eyes, as Hannibal so nicely

They are not going for butch lesbian at all. Apparently, they cast Katherine Isabelle so unless it's all in the performance I think this Margot's going to be more traditionally feminine.

When I first saw that scene I assumed she had seen some of Hannibal's tools/paraphernalia. And Miriam did say the Reaper was keeping her to be the last victim. But she's far from a reliable witness, as we know.

The biggest compliment I can pay her is that I didn't think of her Veep character a single time throughout this episode. She was outstanding.

I am mad that they are making Mason Verger look like Michael Pitt. This is someone we are supposed to hate and Fuller goes and cast him with the face of Prada.

I would love for Abigail to be alive, but I don't think that would work well for the show. Going to that well again would seem cheap after doing it with Miriam.

This is the reason I was so giddy at the last shot of tonights episode. I was basically screaming at my TV: "Ready…Set…GO!"

You can find their latest podcast here, where they discuss Hannibal's issues/non-issues with female characters at length, among other things.

That was such an eery moment. I wonder if they ADR'd that scene with the original voice mail or if she actually got the inflections just right. Either way, it worked so well to sell the horror of the original moment. And having Hannibal recuperate the memory made it all the more terrifying. Fantastic scene!

I think he's high profile enough to pull of the win. Same for Gillian Anderson. I mean last year the winner was Dan Bucatinsky from Scandal so anything is possible.

I get that reaction when it comes to Alana, but Jack seems to want to be on team Will, despite everything pointing in the other direction. In fact, Jack was persistent in trying to keep Hannibal as one of the suspects in the investigation even after last week's dinner party samples cleared him from Will's accusations.

Oh wow, yeah I somehow forgot about that. Sorry guys, I'm still picking up my jaw off the floor from tonight's episode.

Raul Esparza really outdid himself this season. He was one of the few performers that I didn't like last season (even though I had been a fan of him since Company) and somehow this season he fine-tuned the performance just enough to make Chilton sympathetic and pompous at the same time.

I assumed he was playing a recording as well, although that wasn't made explicit. If Hannibal can mimic other people's voices, then he's truly a jack of all trades.

I kept thinking they were going to kill him throughout the last 15 minutes. First Hannibal, then Jack, and finally when he has escaped the wrath of both men and Fuller has lulled us into a false sense of security, BOOM!

I don't think they've connected Abigail's disappearance to the Chesapeake Ripper. Only Will knows that there's a connection between the two.

I simply meant that the tableux in Hannibal are usually meant to have more than aesthetic purposes. For example, Beverly's display as a Damien Hirst-like piece of art was not only cool looking, but it also acts as a form of expression for Hannibal. He's taking her apart the same way she would analyze a crime scene and

Or ugly naked guy.

Consensually, I hope.

He's not a man whore, he's a procurer. Either way, I prefer the royal kind myself, so Prince Martell it is for me.
