The story it's a complete mess and it's not particularly scary or profound. It's a classic case of style over substance, so I was disappointed by it. However, there are a few scenes that are fantastic and it's really pretty to look at. I just wish there was a better script to match Park's directorial chops.

I love Mads as much as everyone, but I really think Hugh Dancy is giving the more challenging performance. In the hands of another actor, Will's season 1 breakdown could have come off really over the top, but he always managed to make us all root for Will in a way that I've never really identified with the character

She's such a great discovery for me. An actress that even from the very limited screen time she had in season 1 was able to establish Beverly so firmly. I'm really going to miss her.

I'd also be interested to see what directors who usually work on TV and have a signature style would produce for Hannibal. Say, Michelle McLaren.

Just thinking about all the awesome shots on Stoker right now.

Is it a miniseries or a continuing show?

I had a huge grin across my face the entire sequence. I even applauded at the end, which made my roommate very uncomfortable.

To this day it remains my favorite Wong Kar-wai. I don't think it's his best, but it was my first of his, so it remains my favorite. I watch it at least once every few months.

A!

Another great shot of shoes to indicate a state of unrest in the Hannibal universe. A couple of episodes ago, Bedelia's retreating heels perfectly captured the fear creeping in as she realized how dangerous Hannibal truly is. This week, we get a slight jerk of Bella's shoes to signify life draining from her body.

Don't you bring that up around these parts! Goes to watch Firefly and pretends Wash is alive.

I ate a whole thing of Häagen-Dazs Mango Sorbet while watching the episode. I'm also one of those freaks who can eat through this show.

And the coin toss. My mind went right to Wonderfalls when I saw that.

Also was that the fanciest bowl/bong ever or what?

He also did Wong Kar-wai's Happy Together which is more scrappy and rough around the edges than In The Mood for Love but has some stunning images.

Did that shot of the flipping coin remind anyone of Wonderfalls?

She did one episode of Orange is the New Black, for sure. I think she's doing one for season 2 as well.

GOB: We'll see who brings in more honey!
Amanda Plummer: Challenge accepted.

Since the two-parter that opened the season, I've been confident is calling this one of my favorite shows ever.

BEES?
