Brian Fuller keeps saying episode 5 is the big gamechanger and all I could think tonight was: how much more awesome can it get?
Audition is so, so great. Miike has shown that he can master both the psychological and the more overt terror Hannibal episodes deal in, so that would be amazing.
The great thing about the Chilton/Will dynamic right now is how Chilton, thanks to his constant surveillance, is seeing right through Will's games with Hannibal and yet Will is still more or less playing him like a yoyo.
I'd love to see Cronenberg direct an episode.
This is the most artful show on television right now. I'm finally putting all those art history papers I had to write in college to use.
Same!
And yet whenever Raul Esparza shows up on my screen I get this sudden urge to sing Company. It makes me so happy.
I'm glad they provided a warning, I watched it in a dark room and it was overwhelming even for me.
I second the Manhunter recommendation, especially if you are a fan of either the Will Graham character or Michael Mann.
I was thinking Dali and his melting clocks when I saw Hannibal's face, but Picasso is equally appropriate.
I also feel bad for all the epileptics who tuned in tonight. Was there a warning about seizures at the beginning of the episode?
Unsettling's the word for it. Between the flashing lights, the industrial soundtrack, and Hannibal's melting face I was left feeling disturbed but oh so happy. This show makes me smile whenever it does something like that. It's just so audacious and unlike anything else out there right now. I love it.
"When the drone mates with the Queen, its ejaculation is so explosive it's audible to the human ear." Jimmy wins quote of the episode.
I see no reason why he couldn't be a new character in Looking Season 2.
Let's get him on AHS so we can see some of that man butt. He already has ties with Ryan Murphy.
Literally none of the sex in Y Tu Mama Tambien can be described as kinky.
*Did*, at what point did Lars disappear up his own asshole?
Yeah, I thought Seligman's actions in the last scene made no sense whatsoever given what we'd seen from him in the previous 4 hours. As a matter of fact, I'm completely puzzled by the ending and not in a good way. I don't know what it is trying to accomplish past "all film critics are trying to fuck you in the ass" if…
This is awesome. You win the internet for the day.
