The questions on everyone's mind is: does the Veronica Mars movie work as a movie on its own or does it play as an extended episode of the TV show? I wouldn't know how to answer this question, as I come to it as an avid fan of the show and therefore can't speak to its entertainment value for the uninitiated. However,

I'm also surprised they didn't touch on how Elizabeth's decision to burn the letter seemed to be at least partly driven by the fact that she didn't want to destroy the kid's life after everything he's been through. My main take away from that scene was that she was going to keep her promise until the kid broke down

Henry's delivery of his lies, on the other hand, was on point. Just the right amount of detail. Those two are truly the children of Soviet spies.

The use of that song in the promos for this season was brilliant. It nicely voices the theme of these past few episodes and would have been too on the nose to use on the actual show, but the promos are awesome.

Did anyone notice that the girl getting married was Franchesca Ramsey from those "Shit White Girls Say.. to Black Girls" videos? She's great.

Wire Idris Elba is the epitome of sexy, but it's not like Luther is anything to smirk at either. C'mon Lincoln, take the compliment.

"Go fuck your brother."

"Is this a film?" — Justin Beiber, film critic.

Douchiest episode of The Good Wife ever!

A logical next step if you will. Plus there was booze involved and we know that always leads to fun things.

That's the greatest piece of trivia I've heard all year. Hilarious!

The crazy thing about that scene is that Rupert and Gerald look like 70's pornstars engaging in one of Gretta Gerwig's weird dances from Frances Ha.

I think she would make a fantastic murderess.

One thing we can say for D.H. Lawrence, he likes himself a masturbation metaphor!

Thank you. I'm so excited to discuss Hannibal for the rest of the Spring.

Like a Lars Von Trier movie. Looking for Nymphomania!

I noticed that. Patrick's also wearing the same shirt/jacket combo from their first meeting, which was bittersweet. I think having them dressed similarly to their first encounter makes the outcome of that scene weirdly even more moving than it already was.

Brandon, is there any chance of doing a walkthrough of the season with Haigh and/or Lannan?

Seriously, you are the superstar of this comments sections. You are our Richie.

That moment was a gut puncher for me. It's when the gravity of the hookup really lands.
