Yeah. I think Groff was really good in those silent moments tonight: outside of Richie's workplace, after the hookup, and shedding a single tear after Richie tells him he's not ready was so devastating.

I was being partly facetious when I say that it's Agustin's fault. Patrick is entirely responsible for his actions tonight.
um, this IS the Looking comments section.

I really think it's interesting how they gave us what we wanted on some level. But the way that scene wraps up, it feels as if they are telling Patrick, and Kevin, and us: look at what you've done. You've fucked it all up.
Initially I thought this too, but having now seen it again, I think there's something to the idea that Patrick is letting go of some of the repression that has haunted him throughout the season and finally getting rid of that bottom shame. The reason the scene initially reads as a bad decision on Patrick's part is…
That was such a great moment to close on. The only thing that would have made it better would have been Patty eating some kale salad with chicken. Do the people on this show like to eat or what?
I will not ship it.
Lol. It was Agustin's plan all along to break them up. Making the comments about slumming it, encouraging Patrick to get with Kevin, being the fucking worst. Agustin is to Looking as Laurel is to Arrow.
Can we talk about how Lynn brought a much younger man to Dom's pop-up? That was a classic move.
I'm glad we finally got confirmation that he is in fact a spoiled rich kid. I was wondering how he was coming up with the money to pay CJ to show up at birthday parties and fuck his boyfriend.
Half hour shows always get submitted in the comedy categories. This is not a comedy, but it would have absolutely no chance if submitted as a drama.
Not even a painting, a collage. At least he had the good sense to destroy it in anger. Only good decision he's made all season.
Oh wow, I didn't even think of it from that angle. That is a really insightful reading of that scene and actually makes me like that narrative decision a lot more than I initially thought. It really captures the power imbalance in that relationship.
I think this is a completely valid reading of the show and one that the writing over the last few episodes has definitely encouraged, especially when it comes to Patrick's romantic entanglements. This is explored on a personal level, at least so far, but I think it's valid to extrapolate it to the hierarchical nature…
Yeah I don't think this is a show that gets many viewers or much press. It's not like Girls, which doesn't do spectacular ratings, but it's a think-piece fuel machine. So it will most likely be forgotten by the time Emmy season comes around.
You know it.
Yes. I hope this show gets some Emmy love, but I doubt it will happen. It's Enlightened all over again.
I'm really good at expressing my feeling to people I don't know well. With people I do know, it's always hit or miss.
I wish we had gotten a better read on why Patrick decided to bottom for Kevin. What do you guys think? Is it because he was feeling hurt that Richie didn't want to speak to him? I'm glad he didn't have some out of nowhere epiphany halfway through and decided not to do it because that never happens. But I'm wondering…
