Yeah no. I’ll be the obnoxious German person who says: sure, keep the plantations, the market auction platforms, the shackles and huts. Keep the gallows and whips. Make them into museums and commemorative spaces to grieve, respect and remember the victims.

Knowing what your coworkers make is the only way to keep employers honest-ish. Keeping that stuff secret serves no one’s interests but the employers’.

Nope, it makes workers realize how bad they are possibly getting the shaft. Which in turn results in resentment toward the management.

Nice earrings. Bear’s like, “Oooo I’m fancy!”

I’m not crying *wipes tears* YOU’RE CRYING!!!!!

Yao is Chinese. He’s not Asian-American.

I mean, it’s not really abuse from Ivy Leaguers if it comes from people who go to Cornell.

Same! It’s rare to see someone who’s been publicly called out for something 1) acknowledge that they messed up AND 2) understand why what they did was a mess up.

I love her response to that question. I also like that Bergeron acknowledged his mistake as a fuck-up instead of trying to make excuses. Adding to the “smile pile” indeed.

Disarray

#1, that’s a stupid thing to comment on this article. #2, the outfit on the left is fire, the one on the right is just whatever.

This was inscribed on the base of the Liberty Place monument in New Orleans. Do you think preserving this is a good idea?

I’m going to ignore your “It’s about more than slavery” argument, and just get to the point about removing all these monuments. Let’s say we need to preserve a few for historical sake (I don’t think we do, but let’s have the discussion). How many would be appropriate? 10? Maybe 25?

Nah.

Nahhhhhhh. Fashion forward as fuck.

Except for the time it did, three years ago, using this exact same method.

Sure it will. The problem isn’t that there aren’t enough people that agree or would agree with John Oliver re: Net Neutrality. The problem is that no one ever does anything or knows how to do anything. John Oliver provides an easy way for people to have their voices heard.

Perhaps you should Google “Merrick Garland”
