I really liked the New Orleans Pharmacy Museum. It’s small, inexpensive to get in, and a good place to kill a couple of hours and learn a little about Louisiana’s medical history. It’s worth doing the 1-hour tour too.

I do prefer Georgetown Cupcakes’ cupcakes to many of the the other options available in the DC area, but I just go to the Bethesda location where there is never a line. The only time I’ve gone to the Georgetown location was when it was to pick up an online order.

Mount Vernon trail? Love that one. I lived near the Cathedral and would ride down Georgetown and across the Key Bridge to join the trail. Really lovely river views. Coming back was a bit of slog though.

Agreed. Proposals are so bizarre and one-sided. Even if the couple has discussed it before, one person has to wait around for the proposer to buy a (usually) pricey ring and do the proposing, and only THEN is it official. Seems so undesirable for both people.
