I remember the one in the southside [Telephone and Park Place near 610 S] a long time ago - they finally demolished it. Now off of 249 near the Beltway there’s one and I think there’s a few others propping up.

It’s like Krystal’s off of 1960. They’re here, but very spread out. That’s why they close shop all the time.

We had them at one point. Checker’s and Rally’s. But they just couldn’t stick around. If you’re in Houston, there’s still plenty of Checker’s carcasses around.

I think hard shell tacos have a specific place in society. Mainly in the trash bin - as all cultured beings eat their delicious flour or corn [Maseca] options.
