M Night casting himself as a "writer who would change the world" omg lol

Oh god, my dad is a huge Dana Carvey fan and he made me see Master of Disguise. Ugh.

The only movie I remember ever walking out of was Drumline. I still don't remember anything about it.

How do you know that everyone "rushing to defend her" is male? I would wager a good amount of the responses you're getting are from women. The idea that women need to be protected IS sexist, but that's really more about physical protection and not, ya know, internet squibbles.

Oh, thank God someone else thinks this! From the very beginning of the season, it has seemed like Jessa has been high as a kite. More so in this episode than ever before. There are only two episodes left and IDK how they will address this, but there is no way she's been sober. I have my doubts about Adam too - when

She was already starting to pursue music/singing when Charlie was still on the show - remember that painful scene where she took the spotlight at his event and sang a Jay-Z song? But I have to admit, I am deeply curious about what direction Lena wanted to take w/ Charlie and why Chris disagreed so much w/ it.

The funny thing is that the movie itself is kinda feminist. Julia Stiles' character is awesome and loves Bikini Kill!

Her attitude was great! It was everyone else that sucked. - someone who related to her / was basically Denise Fleming in high school.

Honestly I think it suffered from a stupid title. But it's definitely super '90s too!

Human Traffic remains one of my favorites! Go too. Excellent choices.

Muppet documentary? Please tell me more! (I'm serious, I love them)

It seemed to me that Renata at least liked her (of all the moms) but their connection seems to be less close than Jane's connections with Madeleine and Celeste. It would be nice to see things a little more from her perspective for sure.

I didn't think it was that bad at all compared to what Todd VanDerWerff used to do in his reviews - practically entire essays about his own life, with only a little of it having to do with the show itself - and somehow he is still revered around here. At least her anecdote was very relevant to themes of this episode.

The Sweetest Thing is one of the few movies I just gave up on like 10 minutes into it. Usually I'll give something a shot for longer than that, but it just looked cheap and the writing was horrible.

I would argue that Lena Dunham is miles more attractive than Louis CK, though. And Patrick Wilson is a total babe, yeah, but I buy him being into Lena waaaay more than any of the female love/sex interests on Louis being into Louis CK.

I never actually thought about "trashy" being a gendered descriptor but you are absolutely correct. I've seen so many male-centric shows that were salacious for the sake of being salacious, but no one ever called them trashy.

Cersei might be despicable but to me she's one of the most compelling villains in anything. I pumped my fist when she sat the Iron Throne. Last season showed that all the major characters in GoT are now women, and yeah they might be pandering to me, but I love it!

I think they will, or at least there is hope that they will. This time around they're going into it knowing the things they don't like about each other - there's less of that "new relationship energy" going on. But I don't know… relationships are work.

My favorite is Hedwig and the Angry Inch. I'm a weird kinda romantic.

Here's the thing that drives me crazy about this - in season one when Marnie is looking for a job (or was it season 2? don't remember, but earlier in the show) Shosh says she should get a "good looking person" job. Ray says that yes she could, and "personally, I don't find you attractive because I know you." It was
