Reading this story, one thing caught me by surprise.

Just to be clear, the confederate flag, as it is. Known, is actually one of the battle flags of the confederate states of America. It was created during the war, so it isn’t some precursor and symbol to the life before the war.

The majority who support confederates are peaceful and not racist? Isn’t that like saying the majority of the people who support al Qaeda were peaceful and not anti American?

It’s simple as to why.  Of whom or what do people touch the hair of? Pets. Animals.  Those deemed less than them.  As such, it’s just their way of showing they don’t even have the simple belief these people of color are equals to them.  

Wonder how the tsa agent would take it if, say, a woman of color grabbed her hair and said ‘giddy-up’. Oh right, she’d probably be held for assaulting a tsa agent. The tsa agent didn’t even have to apologize.  

Not that I’m telling anyone here something new, but this is the same excuse people still share about why slavery wasn’t that bad, or even evil.  Black folks got treated way better than if they were back in Africa or had to live “free” in the us facing discrimination from police and the citizenry!

Isn’t this the city who had at least one detective to have been found to have coerced confessions and witness testimony, planted evidence, and lied in court, and who is still collecting a full pension? 

Hey, just because white coaches are the most qualified and talented, it doesn’t make it racist.  I mean, what black coach could match the coaching quality of jay grudges or Freddie kitchens?

This is misleading, as it disregards the fact that black and Latino drivers and pedestrians are more prone to aggressively and visibly violate our laws by, say, making a turn by not signaling, signaling too close to the intersection, signaling too far away from their intersection, driving with a faulty taillight that…

And again the religious folks decide what Jesus thinks about homosexuality (and then translate That into covering the entire LGBQT+ community) and try to press that onto everyone... 

When I read the headline I thought the clip was actually edited, parts ripped out of the middle, maybe some words added in. But then you say all they did was take it out of context? How is that different than what people have been doing (including real media) for decades?

And yet there are fans in Pittsburgh who call mike Tomlin their “affirmative action hire” and think he (of a top 20 all time win percentage) is the reason the white quarterback isn’t a 10 time super bowl winner.

To give visibility to coaches from other organizations, and also to reach out to other football teams which may show them they have some wanted talent they didn’t realize.
