Wanted to chime in and say I’ve noticed this as well. The rewards for most of the sidequests just seem to be normal/uncommon items that I’m lugging home by the bucketful with every completed expedition, especially if you’re catching/defeating alphas or mining space time distortions.

That anecdote about Magmar and the bridge is the most exciting thing I’ve read about the game, nothing gets me going these days like a game respecting my time.

I’m glad! Give it a try! As an adult fan of the series who’s been steadily losing interest in the games each generation, this one managed to completely rekindle my love for Pokemon and has me actually looking forward to what’s going to come next!
