They’ll refund all you’ve paid that month for cell service. Not for the phone, for which you would no longer get the $20/month pricing (because it is a special promotional price). They’re not that dumb.
I just read the details on their website. Under their new lifetime coverage guarantee, you can leave T-Mobile if you don’t like their service, but continue to keep paying them for the phone alone.
