GRRM is not a good writer. He’s a decent storyteller, but he’s not a good writer.

She’s super-rich herself. Saw a picture of her family’s Scottish castle. I hate these people—all of them.

He IS the king. Rulers make decisions.

I protested at Trump Tower this week. Well, by “protested” I mean I stood around looking surly and disapproving as Donny Two Scoops (name from another thread) was inside. So, I did something good.

Pie-pie, I like your gold sparkly nail polish.

Durham is on the wrong side of the state from where my parents have a house. Also, no mountains. Plus, Duke. Bleh, Duke. Lol

I’m mostly considering the western part of NC, with which I’m familiar. I was looking apartments in Asheville (online) today. I could finally sell my condo here near NYC and do ok. As an out of work person, I just think I need a big life adjustment. And it would be great to be closer to my family. I miss them.

Nice night. I like it. What took SNS so long? I thought Jezebel forgot.

I’ve had two loving lap cats (not at the same time) and nary a scratch. They both curl up with me whenever I sit or sleep—which is a lot. Cats are much sweeter than people think.

Your mother is wrong. It’s that simple.

I used to do this to my friend’s dad—you know, just to get under his skin. ‘Cause he was kind of a douche.

This list is cray-cray. This “president” is cray-cray. Starting to think the whole world is cray-cray! (Am loving saying “cray-cray” today.)

The Vice video is very much worth watching. So telling.

Is the answer “brown hair?” I was waiting for something more—you know—substantial. Alas...

I had the same experience with backpacks. They were so “uncool” when I was in high school, so we carried our heavy textbooks home in our arms every night (and to school every morning). My back still hurts! Luckily, in college I put my dignity behind me. Good decision.

Lol. I grew up in Florida, but my grandfather used to say the same thing about socks. I can still hear him: “Where are your socks?”

I’m watching “Bend it Like Beckham” because it makes me happy even though it’s silly.

Don’t give up. Go wherever you can afford. A college education is very important. Apply for whatever scholarships you can. Speak to your guidance counselor(s)—that’s what they’re there for. You can do it!

Yes, I’ve posted it to my FB. They I found the composer of part of the piece and played it for the kids in my class (when I was teaching 8th grade). So lovely.

I’ve always loved this spontaneous duet. :)
