Yes, we can’t make it better but like Very Dangerous says, we’re always here to listen. Wishing the best for you, hockygrrl.

Your interim boss sounds like a douche. She didn’t even get the “robbing Peter to pay Paul” idiom correct. I, mean, how hard is that?
Good luck, Meatfist. Internet hugs to you.
I say do what you want. Every room in my house is a different color.
I haven’t read all the comments here, but I don’t understand bullet point #1. If over 90% of IPV was carried out by a “current or former partner,” what kind of intimate partner carried out the other 10%? A future partner? That doesn’t make sense. If you’re an intimate partner, can’t you only be “current or former?”…
I’m 46, and I went into teaching at 44. It can be done.
I’ve been thinking about you and wondering how you and the little gal have been doing. I’m so glad you gave us an update. God bless and keep on trucking!
You can do it!
Thank you for your good wishes and your insight. I only taught for one year (so far) and was undermined by the administration at every turn—no matter what I did or how hard I tried. I dearly loved the kids (middle schoolers), but it was a wholly frustrating experience. I had a sort of PTSD after that. Am finally…
I need to find a new teaching job. I am finally in the right headspace to do so. Wish me luck.
See: Lisbeth Salander.
Love this Kenan gif. Love Kenan in all things actually.
I get Minka Kelly and Leighton Meester mixed up—and I’m a white girl.
Emma is very pretty, and I wish I looked like her.
Joelle Gywnn’s “attorny?” Oops.
I think I must be around the same age as you. I pretended to like the Dead Kennedys, the Violent Femmes, the Psychedelic Furs, and The Cure (most of which I knew little about) when I was in high school in the late 80s because that’s what some of the “cool kids” liked. That, and straight-up reggae.
Filed to “Miracles” indeed. Lucky—and smart—pooch.
IRL, Gale Harold. So hot.
Yay! I loved this series, though my favorite character was the chef-girlfriend of Alice’s (I think), played by Lauren Lee Smith. I’m not even gay, and I wanted to sleep with her. Plus, I liked Ivan and Papi and Max and Carmen and Tasha—so many great supporting players. Main cast rocked, of course. RIP Dana.
I got Tiffany, too. I also looked up pictures of all the Moscow districts because I’m anal like that.
