Oh, young libertarians and their ideas. I mean (*headslap*) why didn’t we think of that before? Of course everything would be better if Planned Parenthood had enough money to be self-sustaining. So easy!

The vacancy rate in San Francisco is 3.6 percent, which is way lower than it needs to be to facilitate any kind of rental stability. I’m not sure how that map you linked figures into this, but that’s the number I found. The lower the vacancy rate, the easier it is for landlords to charge what they want.
The case of San Francisco demonstrates quite ably that building more “market rate” housing does nothing to halt gentrification and protect existing communities.
You’re never going to stop people or businesses from moving into desirable neighborhoods. The only way to mitigate gentrification is to build more housing. Build market-rate units so the supply can keep up with demand, and build more subsidized units so those with low incomes don’t have to wait for the market to…
I don’t think Warren is very interested in foreign policy, which is a huge part of the President’s job. She largely focuses on domestic politics, and being a Senator allows you to tackle those issues without distractions.

I thought I saw a video where they were able to choose a specific costume without using the Amiibo, just by tapping on the icon. I might be wrong, though.
I’m glad Colbert is smart enough to know when he should throw the hardballs and throw the softballs.
My point is that, when confronted by Black Lives Matter protesters, Sanders’ initial response was to argue that his economic plan would benefit everyone. The activists were disappointed by the narrow response. It was a good reminder that, while Sanders is no racist, he has spent years representing a state with a…
She’s between a rock and a hard place here, because if she got specific on policies before asking for their input on them, she’d be dictating the conversation from her place of privilege, and not listening.
I interpreted this in the same way. I think I understand where she’s coming from, and I agree with much of what she said.
Why should people of color trust her after she lobbied for the 1994 Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act which included the three strikes provision?
