Weird how people who meet her seem to think she's perfectly nice, while those who haven't can't stand her. Almost as if one's Internet presence doesn't define them as a person.

Was this before or after they introduced accounts?

For me, the account system comes first. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of their games, but I'm a fan of lots of other games too. And without a real account-based system that isn't locked to a system, I'm going to find it harder to justify buying Nintendo consoles in the future. The market is going digital at a rapid

That's weird that Nintendo couldn't restore them at first. Maybe they didn't start doing it right when the 3DS came out (I got mine a year later, so I wasn't really paying attention at the time). But good to here that it worked out in the end. Nintendo still has a lot of consistency issues to work out with this

That's no longer true. Nintendo has the capability to unlock your account from an old 3DS and move it to a new one. It's a pain, and if your 3DS gets stolen they'll probably want to see a police report, but they can do it. Same for Wii U—I've known people who have gotten their console stolen and were able to refine

If I register games that I would have bought anyway and Nintendo gives me a few games or rewards on top of that for no extra charge, that counts as "free."

To be honest, I thought the last two Harry Potter movies actually did a pretty good job with the book. A lot of the later ones had the opposite problem: the fifth movie, if memory serves, was cut to the bone, even though the fifth book was the longest.

PSA: Violent crime is at a 50-year low across the U.S. Parents need to calm down.

I recently tried playing LttP on my Wii U. I had never gotten around to it before, even though I've played almost every other Zelda game (except Zelda II and Skyward Sword).

Based on this link, there is no way to do it without both systems. So, no trade in.

My thoughts exactly. Once I put my SD card in the system, I want it to stay there, unless I'm backing it up to my computer (because Nintendo doesn't trust us kids with a cloud backup system, apparently.)

I'm curious about how people will trade in their systems. Do they have to hang out in GameStop and do the process there? As far as I can tell, if you hand in your old 3DS and walk out with a new one, you're going to lose data even if you keep your SD card.

The screwdriver thing doesn't really bother me. I've got plenty of those. Plus, I kind of like the idea of my SD card being in a secure place where there's no chance of it being knocked out of the system (paranoid, I know).

It's absolutely fair to criticize Nintendo for its absurd user account policies, though.

It was fine. Z-targeting (or whatever button you had to use on the 3DS) worked just as well as it always did.

Like a lot of us in New England, Will is certainly old enough to remember when the Patriots were terrible. We all still watched then.

I get the sense that you guys at Gawker Media don't like Vox very much.

Support for the Democratic Party among Cubans has actually increased quite a bit in the past decade or so. http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2014… I suspect this is part of the reason why Obama felt comfortable acting.
