I read something to that effect recently. The Crossland coat of arms were adopted by some Confederate sympathizers, since the Calvert coat of arms was the normal symbol for the state. I personally don’t mind that the two are together now—I view it as a symbol of reconciliation, a necessary step in a border state like

Check out our state song “Maryland, My Maryland!”
Besides using the melody for “O Christmas Tree/O Tannenbaum,” there are direct references to our Confederate sympathies.

It ain’t you, babe.

“the art of the deal.”
No one ever accused the AP of being careless with their choice of words.

I have a copy of Shirer’s Rise and Fall of the Third Reich on my bookshelf. Word to the wise: not only is it a daunting tome, all of your acquaintances will gravitate to it and give you a side-eye, thanks to the large swastika on the spine of the book.

Matt Harvey seems unhappy about his new role within the organization.

Every day makes me more and more glad the Orioles gave him up...

1. She did not provide that news: she spoke about tentative connections and links. The difference is substantial. She’s providing smoke, you’re seeing a fire.

Happy to help!

Good to know. It seemed very self-aggrandizing.

And I understand she wants people, especially those who aren’t consistently following her show (like myself, don’t have cable) to catch up with the importance of the big reveal. If you truly must include that in the show, save it for after you deploy the breaking news, to provide more context and understanding.

She did provide names and connections—the oligarch who bought his house, the money he owed to DeutscheBank-all that was credible information. But she seemed to operate on the basis of “if there’s a wisp of smoke, there’s a

While she was speculating and drawing unfounded conclusions about what the returns could contain, she had the returns in her hand. It was lazy and clickbaity. “But what if the returns connect him to this oligarch and that bank and look at these yachts over here!?!?”

If you want to be a serious journalist, your job is

Irresponsible journalism. Maddow dithered for 20 minutes about nothing, and then the big reveal was 2 pages with no sources of income. Trump should absolutely release his full returns, but don’t pretend like what she had was anything worthwhile.

Admit it, you had to google how to spell that.

I love Rhiannon Giddens, but Sarah is awesome too.

Shouldn’t we be glad he’s redeveloping an underutilized piece of land? The city gets less than nothing from abandoned industrial sites, but they get future tax revenue and a more appealing city from Plank’s vision.
