A black man sounding like a black man is stereotypical?

It’s so sad when someones racist internet rant can’t even pass the “opening paragraph of wikipedia article test”

Or.. maybe Halle Bailey was the actor that impressed the casting people the most.

Have you read the original fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen, you well versed defender of Western culture and history? Have you spent even the time to read a text that’s just 20-page long? Because (SPOILER ALERT) the mermaid fucking dies.

u really out here gate keeping mermaids being white?

People like you really don’t get it. Characters are being race-swapped so there are equal opportunities for actors of different ethnicities and backgrounds. There really is no other agenda out there.

I have a feeling people are learning all the right lessons from Into the Spiderverse. The visual style, at least from the trailer, is fantastic.

Deadline also reports Corbin Bernsen, Kue Lawrence, Kai Cech and Max Malas will star in Marshmallow, a summer camp-set horror film from director Daniel DelPurgatorio boasting special make-up effects from Robert Kurtzman...

It will never happen, but the score for this movie should be the same as the animated one. It is ridiculously good.

Not sure how The Blues Brothers missed the cut, I was sure that would be a top 10.

Pixar seems trapped at this point by its legacy. Its use of tropes and genre in the past to tell very human stories has really fallen away. The absolute ease (or appearance of ease) is gone from their creations.

The film centers on an immigrant community of Fire people working to establish their own identities in a version of New York City largely controlled by a majority population of Water folk, with a relationship between a young Fire woman, played by Leah Lewis, and a Water guy, played by Mamoudou Athie, at its center.

Streaming is effectively recreating the world that existed before home video, where you’d come across some show or movie on TV and never be able to see it again. We’re going backwards.

I agree on the remakes, but IMO this looks very unappealing vs. most animated films.

There should’ve been more tentacles in The Princess Diaries.
