I know their manager.

Liking the Pumpkins that much AND the Pixies/Pavement that much is befuddling to me.

Clapton is an INCREDIBLY dull singer and songwriter, and not nearly as great a player as many suggest. Mayer has a lot of schlock but also a lot of vibrant, tasty compositions.

I don't get that band AT ALL.

I have friends who know Fishbone and who've seen them HUNDREDS of times. Me only 5. Fun live but only compelling to me for a couple of albums.

Lou Gramm too.

How could anyone possibly mistake those two voices for one? They're WILDLY different.

I HATE her voice and her songs. Big reason why I always had trouble with FM growing up.

The Sugarcubes were my first live band (with PiL and New Order) in 1989. Public Enemy are my favorite hip-hop artists and are from the next town over from my hometown…met Chuck at my high school, they mention things in songs that were backyard for me (like the 98 Posse).

I'd hesitate to call that keyboard riff a solo, classic as it is.

And the sax and flute on "Freedom Rider." Perfect album side.

Ever hear his work on The Smashing Pumpkins' Adore tour from 1998? It's sublime.

You mean Chevy Chase. Or is it Paul?

My pick was "Down and Out."

Love Joy Division; never really got New Order.

What solo on BOTW?

The piano section from Layla isn't really a solo, it's a bunch of chords with a few arpeggiations.

Marcia

Not sure I'd term that a solo, but it's ridiculously great.
