I don't think your "grief" is genuine if you immediately joke about it on the Internet. Nope.

Isn't it 10 albums between '78 and '88 (including Lovesexy, probably my favorite, and not including The Black Album)?

Crappy song, but this comedian, like nearly every other only-known-to-indie-millennials "celebrity" generally featured here, is incredibly bland and inarticulate with his "analysis."

Never found the Police all that interesting. Much rather listen to either of the first two solo albums than any Police record.

I do too. Never was a huge Police guy…Sting's first two records easily surpass his previous work for me.

Or some moistened bint!

I've never seen "gumba" before now in 43+ years of life.

I'm a New Yorker myself…and I'm not an ENORMOUS fan of any of the 6 artists playing this…but I've never been moved by things like the ones you mentioned. Just because something is confrontational or unconventional doesn't mean it's artistically interesting. I like melody. I like relatable emotion. I like song

I never cared much for ELP, kinda silly to me. Much Gabriel-era Genesis is amazing but so is much Collins-era stuff. Not the Invisible Touch/I Can't Dance shit, but the first four records after he replaced PG as frontman…so much of it is lush and pastoral and epic and just incredibly heartfelt and passionate and

The Wall came out in 1979. McCartney II in '80. Some Girls/Emotional Rescue/Tattoo You in '78/'80/'81.Townshend's two best solo records in '80/82. Neil Young has made vital, challenging music as recently as the early 00s. And Dylan…is Dylan. You'd have definitely been prematurely forecasting nostalgia.
