I'm 43 and have been obsessed with music since I'm about 4, and I would rather listen to/see FF than any band that's emerged in the past decade+ because their songs are terrific and mean something and they play with passion and conviction. Not because they're "safe."

McCartney's recent work has been pretty strong, and I'm not even a big McCartney guy…The Who's last record was generally very well-received…Neil Young is good for a good one every 5 years or so…all that said, does every artistic experience have to be "new" to be enjoyable or even transformative?
