Pretty sure we've had this debate before. They're as overrated as it gets for me. Everything bands like The Smashing Pumpkins and The Cure and the Foo Fighters are to me, the Pixies and Sonic Youth and Pavement are not. I could write a lengthier treatise on this if you really want that.

They were ever something?

Nope.

Gwyneth.

He's quite right.

Can't fathom how anyone could be a fan of both bands.

So wrong it's not even funny, times two.

Fuck Pavement. Prototypical indie bullshit…still waiting for Malkmus to write one song as good as any of 150 Corgan has written.

Well, considering that's not what the lyrics are, I'm gonna go with no.

No clue what this means.

Records sound better than CDs. Much better.

Millennials are really into skipping songs on albums.

Older folks like me never really "skipped tracks" like millennials do. Even if a song isn't great we'd listen to it because the album as a larger work was ideologically important to us.

I've bought more used CDs that were significantly damaged than used records.

I've owned hundreds of albums and almost never have this "filler" issue. Most artists I love don't make tons of songs I hate.

You can buy 10 used records for $20 too.

Can't do that with records?

No such thing as used records?

Most artists of that era released their albums on vinyl.

Good thing there WAS A Mellon Collie LP, huh?
