@Rohic: In my mind it's pronounced "Contact" by Cate Blanchet in a bad Russian accent and military uniform.

@opiniated: That would be nice. Unless you are a bird or a pig.

@4nth0ny: I'm a mathematical badass! I do it the HARD way or no way at all!

@senorbelly: Wow. That's a lot of cowgirls.

I'm gonna need a LOT more paper for my calculus homework.

I'll stick with the bear trap. Simple, reliable, reusable.

Reminds me of a Ray Bradbury story. At the end, a kid makes a wish on a shooting star.

Pretty cool! So glad I didn't see any Tetris there. Would have ruined it.

So, in 2400 years NASA will flood the diamond market, finally putting the DeBeers out of business? And ending the whole blood diamonds thing? Yay!

@trois: Damn, lucky to survive rolling one of those. So stripped down the only power accessory on it was the engine!

@trois: Hey, I drove that Tracker for 14 years and it was the most dependable vehicle I've ever owned. Had it not rusted out, I would still be driving it. The 4wd was nearly unstoppable.

@UnicornMaster: it's called "discipline ". He had work to do. The fact that he wandered off at all is a bit surprising to me. There was definitely no lack of ambition here; he was a fucking astronaut for christ sake. You don't get a job like that sitting around getting baked in Mom's basement.

@OctoSniper: That's never good in a marriage. Side effects include "childbirth".

@MaxPoint: Right here, watching ads and reviews for $300 LCD tubes that I'll keep in mind if/when my 30-yo Zenith craps out.

@Benedinho: Guess I have other things to do that don't involve a tv. For those who are into it, have at it.

@cwrlcjalm: Mostly here for the comments, really! I do enjoy gadgets and I like the blog and commenters here. I just don't see television as important enough to eat up such a huge chunk of my family budget. I spend entirely too much time already trying to pry my kids away from it. As for videophiles, great -

We used to do this behind city buses. "Bumper skiing" was a lot of fun back when we were young, dumb and full of life-giving fluid.

@cwrlcjalm: Sorry, but there is no programming on TV worth $1k regardless of the tech behind the screen. That is a ludicrous amount of money to spend on a TV set.

Better Marriage Blanket available in "Twin"? So, separate beds will save my marriage? I don't think it worked out that way for Lucy and Desi.
