To me, things like this aren’t about the undecideds so much as the reluctant decideds. I think there are a lot of “decided” voters who are voting Trump because they’re Republicans and feel like they have to. This is one election where some well worded editorials and pleas from people they respect may actually get

They basically said “look, historically we reflexively support Republicans regardless of who their opponent is because we are conservatives dammit. But even we see that now is not the time to vote Republican just because you always have.”

I don’t know, I saw a couple of people being interviewed after the debate, and they were angry and embarrassed at Trump, but still going to vote for him. They did not seem stupid, they seemed stubborn. They hated Clinton more than they were mortified by Trump.

They did it in kind of a curious way, focusing on all the great American presidents they didn’t support:

Understatement of the century right here:

i’m sure the women were talking about me, and how both their husbands desire me intensely and how it’s putting a real strain on their marriages.

You had me at “Watch Viola Davis and Denzel Washington”.

George W. would never and I hated George W. so, so, so much.

I feel this way about attacks on Christie’s weight. Yes, he’s an asshole, but it’s rude and lazy and we’re better than this.

I completely agree with you, but it’s still so alarming to hear it from the frigging presidential candidate, no? I cannot imagine, for all his faults and flaws, George W. having ever even considered saying these kind of things in any kind of public forum (or even a private one).

Wow, my keyboard felt quite strongly about that.

This ad is for parents. It’s probably a good demographic to target at this stage in the game, considering that busy parents are probably putting more and more thought into their children’s futures.

Yeah I don’t really get the cognitive dissonance in slamming Trump for being an asshole about appearances by... slamming Trump for his appearance. There are 1,001 other ways to go after him that have nothing to do with his face or his skintone or his hair.

Well, they’re not all that great either...

My 6 year old daughter saw this ad during a break from star wars yesterday. She turned to me and said “Donald trump is so awful, mom. He’s so awful” baby, I know. I don’t even know what else I could say.

Another gem.

Those people despise women as much as he does.

Some people want this man to represent our country to the world. Appalling.

My mom, a lifelong capital R Republican, conservative Christian and anti-feminist is not voting for Trump because of his history of dumping his wives once they get too long in the tooth for his taste. My mom was similarly traded in for a younger model by my dad around her 45th birthday.

How smart is this. Just use his own words against him. not bits and pieces of text. Just full sentences he used.
