My sons (10 and 7) have taken it upon themselves to follow in my footsteps and are teaching themselves how to code. The started with Microsoft Small Basic and are now teaching themselves Python. The oldest is programming a game with Microsoft XNA studio and C#. If they keep it up I might be able to retire soon.
Honestly, The Modern UI is great for TouchScreen Devices. But with my laptop which is also touchscreen, I find that I use Windows Key + Q for opening up anything, so the Start Menu doesn't even phase me anymore.
Smart decision for them. I use it sometimes for stuff like Spotify, but I'm always a little reticent to use my real name and everything (and don't want to tip toe around accidentally posting crap to my feed).
I don't know about this. One of the reasons why I eat ramen is because it is practically instant saving me tons of time in the preparation of a meal. Very little muss or fuss. This sort of defeats that purpose of ramen or at least the ramen that I eat. If I wanted better noodles I would go and buy better noodles.
