Please stop it. Stop cluttering this otherwise helpful site with total garbage. You can't POSSIBLY believe this post is actually helpful to anyone, can you? Aside from the flawed notion that droves of people would WANT to be drinking a Slurpee when it's freezing outside - do you think that visitors to this site

As a language, I don't really like VB. But as a tool to use to teach people to code, it's clearly the best. Once you learn to think like a programmer, learning additional languages isn't too difficult. And VB's gentle learning curve is the easiest way to learn to think like a programmer.

Why? Because it's fun, that's all. You can do all kinds of crazy things with it - just like all the other alternative scripting languages, and lua tables are just crazy. Plus, you can learn it more easily than java or Objective C, and you can write both iOS apps and Android apps using Lua via Corona, Moai, or Lua-Wax.

I'd say any CLR language. And c# seems easier to me, less verbose.

Vote: c# or any .NET CLR language

Why: CLR language's cover just about all types of programming. Strongly typed, c# VB.NET. Funtional, F#. Dynamic, IronRuby, IronPython. The Visual Studio IDE is about the best there is or IDE's, even the Express versions. There are also other OSS IDE's out there.

Best podcast to learn about random things. Josh and Chuck are the hosts and they do a great job every time. The topics are always pretty interesting and they also manage to squeeze in some humor in each episode. This one is definitely a brain booster. Oh and the production quality is top-notch.

Here's the thing: The information is already out there, regardless of whether or not Lifehacker spreads it or not. Pandora's box has been opened. You can't make people "un-know" this information, and the people that were doing this before will do it again. Putting the information here is an informative process, and

Yeah I went through and read the comments and many of them present many more facts than the original author does. I came away wanting to drink a glass of milk with a handy-dandy chocolate milk straw. (You drink the milk with a chocolate filled straw...amazing!)

Can we please stop using the NYTimes as science? Everything in his article is based on opinion. The only "facts" he cites are from a vegan based consortium. He presents 0% scientific facts and ignores the fact that milk is one of the best sources of protein available. Can we just agree this guy has an agenda and look
