Jalop should stay away from financial reporting.

Anyone want to make over/under bets on battery life for the whole device?

@franco1975: But what will the price of a netbook be in two years?

Exclusive! Apple shows the inspiration for the iPad!

@pauljones: I voted crack pipe, too. The 280Z was the worst of the S30's and adding an underperforming junkyard Turbo ZX engine shouldn't add up to $8500. I'd much rather put that money into a tweaked Miata or a clean, original 240Z.

Let's remember that Mazda didn't just get into racing with the Miata. Since the mid seventies you haven't been able to swing a dead cat in a club racing pit without hitting at least one RX3 or RX7, and Mazda has been supporting racers that entire time.

@Nieros: Ferrari stopped funding their racing program by selling road cars around the time of Woodstock. (The first one.) Since the early 70's they've fielded cars only because of the financial support of Fiat and peddling the Ferrari mystique to multinational sponsors.

@FTGDWolverineEdition'10: I should not have gone to the F-card, and I apologize to anyone who was offended by the language.

First, a mea culpa. Just like everyone else, we milked the story of Cash for Clunkers, the government program designed to take inefficient vehicles off the road and replace them with a vehicle achieving higher fuel economy by disabling and destroying the old cars, for all it was worth...And why wouldn't we? It was the

@fodder650: If it was racing at Lemons it would be interesting.

This is the post-manifesto Jalop?

@Baby beater Benz: I went from a EX500 that I could beat like a mule to a (ZX11-based) '95 GPz1100. First time I passed a car on a two lane road I downshifted two gears and pinned the throttle like I'd done thousands of times before.

@smokyburnout: That must have been the rare Audi-powered model.

I checked TMI's site a couple of weeks ago and they say they do offer the car as a "partial assembly" kit in the FAQ's.

@snapoversteer 'bout to get told: Every Atom test I've ever seen talks about it feeling dangerously unstable until you get some laps in and acclimate to its quick responses.

@reateretrate: Heart click for a reference worth a Google search.

@keyrat: Check out this month's C/D. They ran an Atom against an X-Bow in a track test and the KTM was faster.
