@two wheels are enough: It depends on how anal your state is, but if you can register a kit car you should be able to get a plate for an Atom without much of a problem.

@f86sabre: I don't think it would bring the priced down to $25K, but TMI says on their website that they offer the Atom as a kit, too. Might be worth a call.
@Uncle Bo: I agree with your take, but I think the dealer employee opened up a whole other (and much more expensive) can of worms calling the buyer psycho and a little nuts.
Anyone else wondering what qualifies as a favorite road for a pig of a car that makes 1,000 horsepower?
@TechnoDestructo: Yeah, maybe - if he was driving the Veyron enough on a trip to require a service and a new set of tires before and after.
Someone already has a good start on the Jalop fantasy hangar.
@zacarious: My first thought, too.
I'd feel a lot better about GM's prospects if Lutz turned his passions towards, say, an attractive midsize sedan that knocks the Fusion and Camry's dick in the dirt.
@LJSearles: Important to keep in mid that the only Taurus sold in Australia was the third gen model, which wasn't a big hit anywhere.
If the Art & Science design is finally palatable to the DTS set, can it still be something people in their 30's aspire to?
@CJinSD: Today's teabaggers are the same as the militia idiots in the 90's. Those morans were just as convinced that Clinton was destroying the country, when it was just the mother of all diaper rash cases caused by a Democrat winning an election.
@SkaHimself: A heart click for you.
@ranwhenparked: This could very well turn out to be a perfectly competent car, I don't think anyone would dispute that it is several orders of magnitude superior to the current Aveo, and as long as it can hold its own against the Fiesta, its got a shot.
Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?
@petersterncan: Cadillac only became relevant to younger buyers for two reasons: The Escalade and BET.
Does it bother anyone else that GM's champion for attracting younger buyers is going to turn 78 next month?
The big question is: When? GM has to get the Regal - all of them - into showrooms in 2010. They can't afford to play catch up like they are now with the Equinox.
@Ben Wojdyla: Respectfully to you, Ben (written without snark) GM has those five good models, plus the Malibu which is also competitive and the CTS, of course - and a bunch of other models with delusions of mediocrity.
Slant Six. AMC 236. BMW M88 (and S54, and the N54B30). Jag XK. Ford 300. Mercedes M130 and the OM603 diesel. Nissan L24 and RB. Toyota 5M and 7M...
@tonyola: Yeah they were. My 83 RX7 had a speedo that went to 130.
