True enough.

I don't really associate being high with being up at 5:54 am and working. I agree on your first point though.

That is a good point. And to be clear, I liked Mike on MST3K. As you say, his attitude made sense. Watching Mike crap on well-made movies doesn't have the same appeal.

Trump is only the worst if you use the word to measure competency to do the job. And his incompetency has a good chance of keeping from being the worst in doing actual damage.

During the Bieber presidency, Kid Rock is going to be an Elder Statesman.

Oh, it is enough to make a difference. The Republican head of the Judiciary Committee has announced there will be absolutely no nomination process for a replacement if Sessions is fired.

To inject some Mike vs. Joel into the conversation, it always seemed to me the Joel genuinely enjoyed a lot of the weirdness in the movies he watched, even as he made jokes. While Mike could be just as funny, there was something more mean-spirited about him.

Here you go.

Your last point probably covers it all. I am also assuming he knows that the Chief of Staff is a position that doesn't require Senate approval. It's always a mistake to assume Trump knows anything about how the White House operates.

If that is the case, I'm confused as to why Trump doesn't get rid of Reince. Chief of Staff is entirely working for the President. He can fire him and hire someone else and he doesn't need Congress to approve. It has none of the complications of firing Sessions, which automatically promotes the deputy who is

I thought we might be able to have an interesting conversation on this, but if your first move is to accuse me of being obtuse, I am done with you.

The subject of this show is a complex issue, as you say. That's why I don't like to see a simplistic response.

HBO: We are going to keep making announcements until you stop talking about that Confederate show! Are you distracted yet?

I guess that depends if we count reverse-racism.

Yeah, I am not interested in this show at all, but the backlash is disquieting.

Wouldn't that that just end up being a show set in the modern day but in which racism was never portrayed in any way?

It was. Taking a long known fact and repackaging it as a whole article is part of the business model here.

I don't completely agree, but I see where you are coming from. There is definitely an appeal to the rough production Channel 101. It's the kind of thing that inspires people to just go out and make their own comedy.

I'd say Community and Channel 101 are both equally important to me. As a 101 fan, the fact that Harmon got to do an actual network sitcom and got away with as much as he did is fantastic. I think it's also a stepping stone to Rick and Morty which masterfully blends the more mainstream (by Harmon standards) feel of

Nah. We are in the hand of Univision. I'd have more faith in The AV Club's future if it were in the hands of a lunatic. Instead, it is run by corporate-mandated click collection techniques now.
