It was also a problem in the Democratic Party that she was presented as the only mainstream choice. Realistically, Sanders is an independent who just caucuses with the Democrats, and that guy from Maryland dropped out immediately.

I thought it might be at the time, but the show is really doubling down on showing her manipulation skills with the scene tonight. It seemed to be the whole point of the scene, unless that swing set is going to play a big role in the show later on.

I don't think there is an endgame. She is just a naturally manipulative person. There doesn't need to be a big play here.
