I actually like the recent greedy obsession with DLC because it makes wallet voting that much easier. I can get a used (console) game, and if I like it and want to reward its creators, I buy the expansion. Done right, I can get behind free-to-play, as long as the free content is persuasive enough.

Hey, you watched an animated show! Here's Brickleberry!

Instead of shooting where the upvote icon was, you should have shot where the upvote icon was going to be!

PISTOLS AT DAWN SIR

When they added tomahawks in a free DLC, I accidentally embedded one in my horse's skull (aim was a little janky) and it lived.

Way to die on the job, dickshitter.

What all are you defining as "tutorial?" Personally, I thought the "press A to jump, RT to shoot but not until we let you" phase was just long enough to mock interminable control tutorials and just short enough to end before the joke wore out its welcome. That said, I have a weird weakness for dumb self-lacerating

Cavemen with regenerating health makes about as much sense as pirates with regenerating health, and Ubisoft has been there already. For that matter, the hero of the first Far Cry* got health regeneration when bioengineering gave him caveman powers, no blood magic necessary.

Gotcha, thanks.

Ah, I was wondering if they were going to fix that. There's a special place in hell for whoever coded EU's…interesting concept of line-of-sight, and I hope it's haunted by all the soldiers on my memorial wall that died at the hands of a miraculously protected alien.

I've been entertaining thoughts of defecting over to PC gaming. The fact that I can get a new-gen console for the cost of a 1 TB SSD (and I gather SSD's will be mandatory in the coming years, so putting a HDD in a new machine is folly) is one of the many reasons I'll probably have a PS4 in a few months.

Honest question, why is it better on a controller? I played on 360 and found the gamepad controls adequate, but tile selection and menu navigation— basically, everything you do in XCOM— seems like it would work better with a mouse and keyboard. You'd be hard pressed to find a multi-platform Dragon Age fan who

And the worst voice actor in the Mass Effect series.

How bad is Officially Obsolete? My rig was a budget model in 2011-2012, and going off the system requirements, it's 2 GB short on RAM (without a sliver of graphics memory— the game wants 1GB), and its Intel B940 is 20% below spec on GPU clock speed. My processor is barely adequate (assuming a hertz is a hertz— I

I don't think the flammable, rugged parts of Wyoming have too many box turtles but I'll forgive it for now. Maybe someone will make a mod to replace the turtle with a boreal toad.

Don't you do it, Hitler…don't you fall in love with me.

Well color me interested, and also disappointed that even budget games are too much for my crap laptop. This goes on my when-I-probably-get-a-PS4 to-do list, for sure.

Marlon Wayans is in a strange place; left to his own devices he's a war crime, but he's actually capable of being funny if he's taking orders rather than giving them.
