Yes! Yes!! I’m always confused by using vagina, instead of vulva. If someone falls and says “I hurt my vagina” I immediately imagine she must have fallen on something that went.. inside the actual vagina o_O ... then I remember I’m not a native speaker and am probably taking the vagina meaning way too literal :))

The reason why I think of it as “father’s name”, is that I grew up with my dad saying things like “while you have my name and live in my house you do as I say”... kind of hard to think of it as “my name” after that.
