I have tried The Messenger and got pretty close to the end. I stopped because I realized I didn’t enjoy playing it anymore. It just wasn’t Metroidvania enough for me. The shopkeeper is hilarious, though.

It also keeps them from getting ripe too quickly. This is great especially in summer. The only downside is that if you leave them in the fridge for too long, they turn black but that’s just the skin only. Everything else is still fine.

According to me, room temperature fruit tastes better anyway. Cold can reduce the intensity of certain flavors and, though the topic remains poorly understood in scientific circles, room-temp fruit reads as juicier, sweeter, and more fragrant.
