Yeah, a meter makes a lot more sense for a map square, when you look at the scale of miniatures. That base is definitely a lot closer to a meter than it is to 5 feet. 🤔 (Not that everybody plays with miniatures, but the system is designed with that style of presentation first and foremost in mind.)
