Even if they were it still only really applies “past the gate”. The line to get in is still going to be an uncontrolled superspreader.

I agree 100%. That’s why they need to require proof of vaccination if they want this to be reasonably safe. And honestly? Don’t tell anybody. Have people show up and get asked for their vaccination card.
The sentiment I’m seeing from a lot of people in the community is that while they do have confidence in the staff’s ability to conduct the event as safely as possible (or not at all, as we’ve been assured on at least one occasion), they personally don’t feel ready to start attending in-person events again yet.
You know I got you...It’s just near impossible to see.
Wanted was complete garbage. The comic had such potential for bringing to the screen an interesting superhero genre deconstruction from the POV of the villains...instead they made a completely generic action movie, and a bad one, at that.
Yikes. 😬
Hard agree on the nostalgia thing. I was 16 when FF7 came out and had played every main-series FF game released in the west prior to that...plus some that hadn’t been. (Playing English-patched FF5 on real hardware, wooo!) There seems to be a very narrow but clear-cut separation in age between the people who slobber…
During puwexil’s speedruns at AGDQ/SGDQ and RPG Limit Break there’s countless donations with messages that are some variation on “Hey puwexil, what’s your favorite Final Fantasy game? Just kidding, we all know it’s Chrono Trigger.” It’s always good for a chuckle. 😁
That’s a beautiful and well-curated collection! 🤩 I love that she fixed a game at just eight years old and went on to become an Electrical Engineer. As a life-long tinkerer I appreciate and respect that. 😌
My favorite FF is not numbered!
Right? It’s brilliant how they edited the footage to create it, too. Very well done!
Well, from strictly a design point of view, it’s clear they intend the other two ports for that sort of thing, and it makes sense. 🤔 The rear port is perfect for an ethernet adapter, because then the network cable follows the flow of the HDMI and power cables. 🤷♂️ (And the fact that they replaced that USB port with…
Please read threads before replying to them. 😐
Pay a little more next time, I guess? 🤷♂️ I bought one of Amazon’s house-brand ones for $17.49. It’s USB 3.0 and gigabit, it’s been working flawlessly for nearly 2.5 years now.
The dock actually has THREE ports. There’s one inside, pretty much specifically for a wired networking adapter. I’ve got one of Amazon’s house brand USB 3.0 10/100/1000mb adapters plugged into it.
I mean, you can add an ethernet port to the original Switch dock for like $18, so getting the new dock for an old Switch doesn’t seem like a great deal. 🤷♂️
Yeah, I certainly get what you’re saying. Though I don’t think we can or should compare the two situations, as the consequences for the falsely-accused are on a completely different scale—in both severity and lasting impact—between the two. 😬
Damn, thanks for the reminder Zack! 👍 I have lost all sense of time and space. I would’ve totally stumbled into it mid-week and gone “WAIT, when did SGDQ start?!”
Actually there was a Kotaku article back in December—on a completely different Twitch issue—where the CEO of Twitch was quoted as saying they were hesitant to implement these community tags specifically because of concerns it would lead to targeted harassment, and it mentions the ongoing fight to get the tags. Wow do…
