Well, I imagine it’d already be kind of a premium niche market device, trading on the SNK name, so having it cater to that specific demographic shouldn’t be an issue.

Woah, that’s a nice case! I’ve been meaning to print (a Super Famicom) one—I’ve even got filament that’s color-matched to SNES peripherals and cartridges—but all my RasPi 3B+s are acting as OctoPrint servers. lol

So have I.  I’ve also heard of the Steam version corrupting the saves because of the Steam Cloud.  (Meanwhile GOG’s cloud sync works fine, heh.)

Thank you! I couldn’t agree more regarding “Game-breaking bugs” 90% of the time it’s some annoying—yet completely benign—issue. The literal definition of ‘game-breaking’ is anything which crashes the game, or prevents progress.

Huh... If your system fits the recommended requirements and it’s still running like that... That sure doesn’t sound right. 🤔 Like, that doesn’t track with anything I’ve seen so far, and might be worth further diagnostics.

It’s pretty simple really, if you know how much over your target framerate you’re getting, you’ll be able to tweak the graphics for better quality while making sure you don’t drop below your target. It’s a diagnostic tool.

I’m not suggesting the last-gen consoles are crap just because the new ones are out, or just because they’re old. (That’s some Gen-Z thinking if ever I’ve heard it.)

So, which are you suggesting, that the GOG streamers were granted access to a ““special”” build of the game which magically works better on lower-end hardware, or that the GOG streamers were lying about their system specs? Because most of them had gaming rigs that were less powerful than the rig I use just for video…

You should be able to find performance settings to get it working acceptably on your machine though. The game may look like garbage, but it’ll run. Obviously if you’re trying to run it with the settings turned up too high for your rig, it’s gonna choke.

Yeah, cyberbrains don’t exist in Cyberpunk. Even Adam Smasher has an organic brain, hidden away in an armored life support pod inside that absurd full-‘borg body of his.

One of the main character attributes is literally “COOL” and that’s straight from the TTRPG. “Rule of Cool” has been pretty much baked in to this game’s fundamental design since 1988. 😏

Did they ever actually show it running on PS4 and Xbox One though? I only remember them showing PS5 and Xbox Series S/X. (And even then it didn’t look nearly as good as PC!)

I’m not sure why console gamers thought it was going to look amazing on their SEVEN YEAR OLD CONSOLES, when what CDPR showed running on next-gen consoles looked somewhat diminished compared to PC.

To be fair, it sounds like a lot of these were console players...and it does look like refried shit on the consoles.
