This. Abso-fucking-lutely. How is it not harassment?  I mean, holy shit. Every time I hear about something like this, I simply can’t get my head around how Twitch has allowed the report system to be turned into a tool for harassment.

Yeah, but she’s not making Twitch assloads of money, like DrDouchebag... So, what else is new? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

No, they already pay people to do that. The question is whether they actually do it... It’s bad enough if they just don’t...it’s even worse if they do and still make such ridiculous-ass decisions.

I assume and really hope that’s the case—despite Twitch’s insistence, much like YouTube’s when it comes to DMCA and demonetization, that they have people actually investigate because the alternative is just too fucking stupid to bear. 😑

How has Twitch not learned yet?! If they suddenly get a ton of reports on a channel, it’s either getting report-bombed by trolls, or the channel is doing something super-egregiously-wrong.

...what in the allegorical fuck did I just watch?? 🤣 This is like a practical joke which somebody put way too much work into, and I love it. 😂

But if you wanted it, they’ve left you no other way to acquire it, despite the fact that there’s supposed to be ways to earn the requisite currency. It borders on bait-and-switch, and it’s generally just kind of shitty of them.

First of all, I have never once seen one of these ‘scam streams’ on the Twitch frontpage. I think people are confusing the ‘frontpage’ carousel of selected streams—which, to my understanding are curated/vetted by staff and not the algorithm —with the ‘Recommended Channels’ on the frontpage and sidebar, which are just

lol, oh god... Those ‘scam streams’ have to be one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard of. Twitch takes care of that stuff as quickly as it’s reported—for the most part —but anybody who falls for that shit honestly deserves it; as the old saying goes, there’s no such thing as a free lunch.

It would seem you’ve misread my comments.

When they remove any other way for people to acquire a thing, what do you call it?

And I’ll bet they all have Patreons to support their channels because YouTube randomly demonetizes every other video they upload with zero explanation, recourse, or consistency.

There’s no shortage of gaming-oriented streaming platforms that aren’t Twitch.......YouTube just isn’t one of them. They had their shot five years ago, and ended up shooting themselves in the dick.

I know what you mean...believe me. But at least on Twitch, they’re not the only ones being rewarded by the platform.

I so hate the way chat works on YouTube... btw, you can watch the VOD of a Twitch stream that’s still in progress, if you have the URL. Can’t speed it up though, I don’t think. 🤔 (That sounds like a neat trick, though.)

Nor was it intended as one. The ‘80s and ‘90s were rad AF.

That is one seriously ‘90s-ass lookin’ shoe. Only way it could be more ‘90s is if it had a pump. 😂

YouTube already tried a gaming sub-site, and it failed miserably; Nobody uses it. (Nonetheless, they still try to make “Gaming” happen...linking to it from any games-related video on the platform...and even forcing you onto it when clicking notifications for games-related videos/streams.)

What an absolutely puzzling act of blunderfuckery... I don’t mean forcing people to pay ten bucks for the skin...that’s a perfectly-straightforward act of blunderfuckery... (💰Capitalism, ho!💰) I mean moving OWL from Twitch to YouTube.

It was literally an episode about fucking Myconids. Not even joking. It was only a matter of time with this show, to be honest. 😂
