That’s too bad! I’m really enjoying it. Although the dialogue tends to be drawn out, I think the gameplay holds up quite well. Sorry to hear you’re not feeling it.

Nope!

There has been a small shift on depictions of female characters in the West, and an overly forced one at that, by a vocal minority. Most gamers have zero problem with Japanese depictions of women. This is just truth. And certainly no problem from Japanese.

There was a time when Japanese game companies tried desperately to fit in to the western market, losing their identity and what made Japanese games so great. I’m relieved to see Japanese developers embracing their gaming roots and not being concerned with what the West is doing. Make great games and we western gamers

Yeah I don’t understand why it takes 5 days just to email a code. It’s strange.

That’s....sad. What do you have?

Ha! Me too. And 20% off. Figures all the sales suck ass now that I got free credit. It’s like I NEED to spend it because it’s free. Very weird.

Besides Toddler/daughter/daddy duties, I’m still plugging away at I Am Setsuna on Switch. This game needs: proper shops, inns and freaking an auto save feature. But it’s fun nonetheless. Hopefully done this weekend? Also playing Yakuza 0 and Cod:ww2 on ps4. Oh also Fate/Extella. Trying to be somewhat focused on

Well yes. But now we have an entirely new generation of poor kiddies that don’t have a pot to piss in. Their immature nature dictates they must defend whatever purchase their parents made for them . I get it. I did it when I was 15 and Sega Genesis was the only system I owned. I had no job at 15. Not any disposable

Nintendo begs to differ.

You say that as if it’s a bad thing.

It’s not important to have the most powerful system. Nintendo is proof of that.

Yes, they are indeed “killing it”. With Nintendo stabbing the carcass of Xbox for good measure. Xbox has done horribly this generation, especially considering the 360 being king-of-the-hill last generation.

Yakuza 6 for me. I’m just not feeling Dad of War. I’m just not in the mood to babysit a character in a game.

Sounds like me. I definitely don’t need any games but I find buying Yakuza a necessity. I still have Yakuza 0, Kiwami and Yakuza 5 to finish. But I remember when the Yakuza games were limited run and I still fear Yakuza 6 will sell out, never to be seen again.

Really? I got the opposite impression. Seemed like they are focusing on newer games. Unless that’s the interviewees intention. Hard to say.

No way. There is just too much collusion between retail brick and mortar around the world for physical distribution to disappear. Sony, MS, abd Nintendo would be out of places to sell their hardware if they went digital only. It just won’t happen. Certainly not the next generation, anyway. There is still massive money

The other day I turned on my ps4 and put a disc in it. I played the game, then shut it off. The end.

Even games with day 1 patches can still be played offline with a physical copy. Sure, you’d miss out on the update, but it’s still playable. And in 20 years my physical copy will still work just fine.

I wasn’t a Far Cry 4 fan, but this game is changing my mind. The cult setting is interesting as well. Not a typical theme for games.
