What are you offended about? Being Korean? Leave being offended by absolutely everything to Americans. We’re great at it.

Koreans. Pretty sure he means Koreans.

Joke. That way. All is well.

Well I hope you shaved it with a Gillette razor and shaving cream sponsored by Kotaku. Otherwise I have nothing to believe in anymore.

Well look at that. Another stereotypical hipster neckbeard dude. Sure this will go well. Please tell us about some lame indie game we don't care about....

Don't own an Xbox and never will. But the fact these games are actually yours to keep makes the PS+ inferior in my opinion. Not to mention the ps+ selection of games have been incredibly poor this year.

It is absolutely a race issue. A bunch of outdated old farts still desperately clinging to that xenophobic Nihonjinron. Yes, there will aleays be people like this. But to be complacent and not confront these people is absolutely the wrong thing to do. Especially here in Japan.

Haha, wow that was the greatest read I’ve had in a long while. So full of prose yet just enough “fuck you” to spice it up. I like that guy immediately.

Haha, I like your style.

It’s not as uncommon as you think! I actually work with a teacher that has a missing arm, and a student that has only one arm. There are plenty of people with all sorts of disabilities in Japan.

I and everyone I know are fairly convinced visa length is determined by absolute luck. If there is a method to immigration’s madness, they certainly aren’t telling us. It’s either dice, black magic or janken. Either way, we are at their mercy.

One of the things that always amazed me about Japan is just how many open spaces there are. You imagine Japan being some futuristic city, with no space to move. But the reality is that most of Japan is open rice fields and beautiful mountain ranges. Sure, Tokyo is packed tight. But go out of the megatropolis and you

Depends. My wife cooks all sorts of Filipino food, so I am in no shortage of tasty dinner. Kare kare? Sinigang? All good. My wife is a wonderful cook, and I am truly blessed!

Unless you are Japanese, the majority of people will have no issue with your tattoos. Japanese realize that foreigners hold a different opinion about tattoos. You should feel no shame in displaying your tattoos. In fact, there are plenty of Japanese here that have tattoos as well. And no, they are not Yakuza!

I’m not familiar with that area, but I think any time of the year besides winter would be an ideal time to visit. Winter in Japan is not fun. I’d also stay away during the months of June and July due to the rainy season. (We’re actually experiencing a rather late rainy season this year.) Due to the location of

No toe-stepping going on at all! No worries! I love hearing other expats experiences, and I think it’s important for those that want to choose a similar path that we have.

Very important! These things should definitely be discussed with your employer. BUT! It is important that you do your own research! The more you know about your countries relationship with Japan and what is required for you to obtain a visa is extremely important. Thanks for pointing that out. Every country is

I don’t get it either. I wear a yukata/jinbei every summer for the fireworks festival in my town and Japanese go absolutely nuts. They love it. And I love it too. I certainly don’t wear my yukata in malice!

Thanks! And thanks for adding the details I forgot to mention!
