Hopefully that means the save lets you keep items and weapons. If I remember correctly, the password system only took you to the level, but you started with an empty inventory which made it much, much harder since you wanted to have a stockpile of good weapons and items to deal with those levels. I remember having to

ha, got it- didn’t catch the sarcasm but I’m there with ya :)

It’s a joke, for the record. Pretty much every console launch has a reason for limited supply, but gamers tend to instantly think it’s some sort of nefarious scheme to “stir up interest.”

There’s absolutely no way this is artificial. There are far too many documented reasons (chip shortages, covid difficulties, sky-high demand due to covid, etc.) for this to be anything artificial. Last-gen consoles were selling like crazy prior to the launch, and are. Sony’s literally printing money with this thing so

Why is anyone surprised by demand for PS5?

A second season has been confirmed for 2022.  Also, if you haven’t seen it, check out the movie.  The movie is a direct continuation of the story and second season will pick up where it left off.

The question at issue here is, I think, less “is Sony a monopoly with PlayStation” (it is, at least according to the parameters defined by controlling all aspects of the digital storefront for that platform) and more “Is Sony’s monopoly on PlayStation sufficient to create an anti-competitive market?”

As a PS5 digital owner, I support this lawsuit.  On one hand, you knew what I knew what I was getting into when getting a disc-less PS5.  On the other hand, having a potential option for cheaper games is always welcome.

To put it simply; Yes.

are you literally incapable of reading for tone? They’re mocking him. The fact that he is motivated by profit is supposed to be understood. Calling it an “impassioned plea” is sarcasm.

I can’t be the only one who loved Western zombie action games like The Last of Us and State of Decay 2 who reads this review and says “Nah that sounds too fucking weird, I’ll pass”.

Uh, no it didn’t? It was the best selling individual release in the franchise, and even then it’s 4th on the overall sales list behind games that have been constantly released on every console in existence.

If Capcom were going to go back to “what sold”, then RE 8 would be another action packed game like RE 5 or 6. 7 was a return to the atmosphere of the original trilogy, and it sold 8.5 million copies as a result. Almost a million copies more than RE2 Remake. It’s the 4th best selling game of the franchise, and the 3rd

I mean, I get calling out Kingdom Hearts as inaccessible but I don’t quite understand how that’s true for Final Fantasy (a series known for each entry being completely unrelated to the previous one and therefore not needing any prior knowledge to play any of them) and Resident Evil (in which Resident Evil 7, an entry

As regards that specific issue of gamers specifically bitching about “open platforms” or whatever? Not my debate, don’t give a single shit.

You could still live in that bubble even with more options available, though. Anyone who wants to solely rely on the Apple store could continue doing so, that’s how options work.

Now playing

Did a little research and as far as I can tell, Steam added the option to specify install paths during installation in 2012. As of 2015, Origin did not provide that.

“You’re biased because your neutrality doesn’t validate my extremist opinions on one side of this issue!!!”

It is somewhat surprising that Tim Cook wouldn’t have heard of him.
